Privacy Policy

Last updated September 26, 2026

nota.dev lets you build software with AI as if writing a document. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use them only to create your account, identify you when you sign in and show who is signed in. We don't request access to any other Google data.

We also keep what you create in nota.dev: your conversations, the files you attach, the repositories you connect from GitHub, and the projects and settings you set up, including environment variables for previews and the OpenAI account you choose to connect.

How we use it

We use your information only to provide nota.dev: to sign you in, run the coding agent on your repositories, save its changes to GitHub and show you your work. We don't sell your information, use it for advertising or share it with anyone except the services that run nota.dev on our behalf (Convex for our database, GitHub for repositories, OpenAI for the coding agent and Modal for sandboxes), and only as far as each needs to do its part.

Google user data

nota.dev's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time with the Delete account button in the sidebar, which deletes it and everything in it at once, including the repositories of the projects we host for you on GitHub.
